The Carer Wellness Centre Adelaide Hills, Strathalbyn & Districts (CWCAH) is an initiative funded by the Home and Community Care (HACC) to assist Carers of frail, aged residents and Carers of younger people with a disability, living in the Adelaide Hills, Strathalbyn & District regions.
Many Carers experience isolation, depression and fatigue because of the constancy of caring, and many feel they are sometimes forgotten.
The friendly staff and volunteers at the Carer Wellness Centre understand and can assist you in identifying what your needs may be in maintaining your carer role.
The Carer Wellness Centre provides:
-
Information, support and advocacy to Carers of elderly, frail and younger people with a disability
-
Support Carers individually, to assist Carers to balance their caring role equally between their own needs and those of the person they care for.
How we can support you:
Carers can request a Carer Support Worker to visit in the home for a friendly relaxed chat. Carers are also more than welcome to visit the Centre.
